It is 15.608 hectares large as it is made up of the A&ntilde;isclo Canyon, the Escuain gorges, and the Monte Perdido massif areas.<br \/>\n            Monte perdido, 3.355m high, towers above the Park. It is the biggest chalky massif in Occidental Europe and it gives birth to the valleys of A&ntilde;isclo, Escuain, Ordesa and Pineta.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Valley of A&ntilde;isclo<\/strong><br \/>\n            It is one of the natural entrances to Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. It is an ideal place for fishing and adventure sports amateurs. It features beautiful natural gorges like those of Escuain. From the A&ntilde;isclo valley, visitors can go for a great number of hikes, within the National Park or in its neighbourhood.<br \/>\n            The A&ntilde;isclo Canyon, a great place to go for a hike, is one of the most spectacular landscapes of Aragon. The old village is a medieval jewel that has been declared National Monument. Ainsa square (12th and 13th century) is one of the most beautiful in Spain and, its arch structure makes it an ideal place for markets and fairs.<br \/>\n            La Morisma, that commemorates the victory of the Christian troops over the Muslim&rsquo;s in the neighbourhood of Ainsa, is the  most famous cultural event of the village.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div align=\"center\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>            <strong>Mediano dam<\/strong><br \/>\n            Inaugurated at the end of the sixties, this dam is one of the biggest in Aragon with a 450hm3 volume. Its construction carried out the drift of the inhabitants of the neighbouring villages, as well as the flood of the village that gives the dam its name. The only remaining building of the village is the church, whose tower can be seen standing above the water level all year long.<\/td>\n<td>\n<div align=\"center\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"150\" align=\"middle\" width=\"200\" src=\"\/sites\/all\/modules\/htmlarea\/xinha\/plugins\/ImageManager\/demo_images\/embalse_mediano_foto_principal_1.jpg\" alt=\"embalse_mediano_foto_principal_1.jpg\" style=\"border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; padding: 3px;\" \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"200\" align=\"middle\" width=\"150\" src=\"\/sites\/all\/modules\/htmlarea\/xinha\/plugins\/ImageManager\/demo_images\/Monasterio_San_Victorian__3__1.jpg\" alt=\"Monasterio_San_Victorian__3__1.jpg\" style=\"border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; padding: 3px;\" \/><\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<div align=\"center\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>            <strong>BOLTA&Ntilde;A and BAJO ARA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>            Bolta&ntilde;a is a nice village located at the border of the Ara river, and it is the capital of the Sobrarbe region. It is highly recommended to visit the Roman bridge in the neighbourhood of the village, the castle built high in the mountain, and to enjoy its popular fair, &ldquo;las Fiestas de la Convivencia&rdquo;, celebrated at the end of August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monastery of San Victorian<\/strong><br \/>\n            Located at the feet of the Pe&ntilde;a Monta&ntilde;esa mountain, San Victorian is regarded as the oldest monastery in Spain by experts and historians. It dates back from the 7th century and it is currently being restored. You can access it from Laspu&ntilde;a and Ainsa. There, the views are unbelievable.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div align=\"center\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>            <strong>Bielsa, Valley of Pineta and Valley of Chistau (Bal de Chistau)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The village of Bielsa, which was built in the 10th and 11th centuries, is located at the merging of the rivers Cinca and Barrosa. It is worth visiting the Town Hall, a Renaissance architectural work that houses the museum of Bielsa.<br \/>\n            Pineta is a valley situated in the Northern part of Monte Perdido. There, visitors and wildlife amateurs can enjoy 14 kilometres of steep and narrow areas, dramatic views, great wildlife and an unlimited number of landscapes in which water plays the main role.<br \/>\n            The valley of Chistau (Bal de Chistau) is the most hidden place in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
