Laspuña : a privileged village due to its location, with a good climate and landscapes of matchless beauty. Known as the Balcony of the Pyrenees, Laspuña is a fantastic mirador over Monte Perdido.
This charming village of the Aragonese Pyrenees is 720m high and it is settled on a plateau over the River Cinca, at the feet of the Peña Montañesa mountain. Due to its location, Laspuña´s climate is mild all year long. It is one of the departure points to go on a hike and visit Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park and the Sierra de Guara Natural Park.
Laspuña is well known for its “descenso de nabatas” (wooden rafts), which is a feast as well as a claiming for the conservation of the popular Pyrenees traditions. It takes place on a week-end of May.
